Shannen Doherty, the former Bevery Hills actress, was diagnosed with breast cancer a while ago and she has revealed that it has been detected in her lymph nodes as well.

This is what she said:
‘I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes, and from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes.’
So for that reason, we are doing chemo, and then after chemo, I’ll do radiation.’

Shannen Doherty is best know for her roles as Brenda Walsh in Bevery Hills, 90210 and as Prue Halliwell in Charmed. People have claimed that she is sometimes difficult to work with and unprofessional. However, this has not stopped her from being one of the most famous actresses in TV shows and films.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2015 and she went under the knife to have a single mastectomy to fight the cancer. However, this was not the end of her journey.

Since she was diagnosed, she has been very open about her battle, often sharing her experiences with chemotherapy and medications for people just to see what this battle does to a young woman’s body. She even posts video clips of her chemotherapy sessions.

“Cancer has in a strange way done some amazing things for me. It’s allowed me to be more me, like much more in touch with who I am, and much more vulnerable and the person that I always was, but I think it got hidden behind a lot of other stuff.” This is what she said after she got some terrible news from her doctors.
5. The Cancer Has Spread
Recently, she was given more devastating news. In fact, her cancer has spread. After she got one breast removed, they believed she would recover, but this was not the case. Instead, the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes. Even after radiation therapy, the cancer spread through her body.
6. She is Getting Sicker by the Day
“Everything else is manageable. Pain is manageable, you know living without a breast is manageable, it’s the worry of your future and how your future is going to affect the people that you love.” She also claimed that she is losing weight and vomiting and cannot get our of bed. She has support from her husband about doing simple tasks.
7. The Scariest Part
“The unknown is always the scariest part,” she shared with ET Online. “Is the chemo going to work? Is the radiation going to work? You know, am I going to have to go through this again, or am I going to get secondary cancer?” She says during her interview. She also states that the news of her cancer now spreading is “terribly frightening, and makes me afraid to go to sleep at night.”
8. Not Sure of Her Future
She is not even sure about the chemo and radiation and if they are working, because she is sick all the time. However, she tries to share everything that is happening with fans. She wants to show what happens when a person becomes ill with cancer. She is not sure how long she will live, however, she is proud that she can help people who are suffering from cancer as well.
